Each leaf is gently cut at the base and removed from the stem, avoiding damage to the parent plant. The leaves are then removed of soil residue and carefully washed. Once this process is completed, they are sent to the certified processing plant<\/strong> in the shortest possible time to keep their properties intact.<\/p>\nThe thorny sides and the bark are separated to extract the mucilaginous center through a pressing process, and then go through different phases of disinfection, stabilization and packaging.
